Lisa Curtis Photography

We went to Butlins last week for a little family holiday, it was great fun and so perfect for Joseph. I would definitely like to go back next year, I think he'd have an even better time! If you'd like to see some photos, please head on over to the Portrait Gallery :)

I got to watch my beautiful niece get married at Wasing Park in Reading on Friday. It was such a lovely day, cloudy and warm (my favourite photography weather!) and everyone looked amazing. I'm so happy for her and her new husband, Adam. My only regret is that I wasn't allowed to photograph the way Adam kept looking at Katy when the ceremony was beginning; he couldn't take his eyes off her and kept looking at her from head to toe with this expression of complete wonder on his face.

New event

I've just come back from a week's holiday in the Isle of Wight, I wonder if I got any photos worth posting?? Before we went away, though, I volunteered at the hospital where I work to take photos of a festival they had. It used to be an annual event and is a great way to raise money for the hospital and local charities, so I hope it becomes a regular feature again. Please do take a look in the Events Gallery!

Otherwise, I have updated the website recently with photos of friends and family. I feel so blessed when I'm able to take these photos!

Still here!

I haven't stopped taking photos, but they've all been personal because I have very little time for anything other than my baby these days. However, a friend of mine asked for some photos that she could use professionally and I was more than happy to oblige, so please take a look in the Portraits section for those! I also got a couple of shots of her and her husband, they look so good together <3

I've also been using the 365 project to help keep the photography gears oiled, come visit me if you'd like a laugh!

Floating back

I've been on a rather long hiatus from photography, due to my pregnancy and birth of my first son :) It left me in rather a lot of pain and discomfort, unfortunately, and so I wasn't able to get back in to it as I would have liked. However, I still made sure to take photos when I could, there was no way any amount of pain was going to make me miss my son's first days, and it helped give me something to look forward to and work towards. Now, almost three months on, the pain is bearable enough, and he sleeps long enough!!, that I'm able to sit at the PC and edit properly. Thanks to that, please take a look in the portrait gallery for some photos of my beautiful baby :)
